As we cross on the Kittitas, the sister ferry, the Cathamet steams east towards Mukilteo. The Kittitas was built in 1980 (retooled in 1990) and can hold 124 vehicles and 1200 passengers. It has 5000 horsepower (that would be the same as almost 17 R's!).
