Overcast with on-again off-again rain, but good lighting for snapping nature shots. This is Bellingham Bay which is part of Puget Sound. You're looking northwest in this picture. Keep going north and west you'll run into Vancouver Island and eventually Alaska. Go directly west you'll also hit Vancouver Island before heading into the open Pacific. Look carefully you can see a freigther heading south towards Seattle or Tacoma.
