The southern tip of San Juan Island is fairly open with the Strait of Juan de Fuca immediately to the
south. This strait seperates the US and Canada. More specifically it seperates the Olympic Penninsula on Washington State from
Vancouver Island. It can get pretty gusty out here. This picture actually looks north away from the strait and back in the
general direction of Friday Harbor.
