Ballard is the Norwegian section of Seattle. I go there to get Norwegian groceries from time to time. The Ballard locks
are just out of this picture, but this is how you get from Lake Washington to Lake Union and out to Puget Sound. You have to go through the locks
(if you are a boat that is). There is also a salmon ladder to assist the salmon reach Lake Washington and various rivers to spawn. The bridge in this
picture is actually for trains only.
