These are two largest ferries in the Washington State Puget Sound ferry system (the largest ferry system in the US). Their names are Tacoma and Wenatchee and can accomodate about 2500 people and 200 cars. The Bainbridge Island to Seattle ferry trip is the most widely used, hence the reason for the two biggest ferries (of about 28 in the ferry system). The picture looks north towards the San Juan Island of the Puget Sound. On a cloudless days you'd be able to see snow capped mountains of the Olympics in the left background.
