The Space Needle from the ferry. Look carefully and you can just see one of the elevators going up or down. The Space Needle was build in 1962 for the World Fair. For a while it was tallest building west of the Mississippi. Now many of Seattle skyscrapers dwarf the Needle. The Space Needle sits in Seattle Center area, where you also have Key Arena, home of the Seattle Sonics, and you can also find the Science Fiction museum created by Paul Allen (co-founder of Microsoft) not to mention the very funky looking Experience Music Project museum - also a Paul Allen project (not visable in this picture).
