Spending time on Vancouver Island during the summer is about as good as it gets. As usual we took the ferry
from Tsawwassen (just south of Vancouver)over to Vancouver Island. This time we stayed at B&B just outside of
downtown Victoria. It was old English B&B with a huge garden. Speaking of gardens, I can't think of a more
impressive one than Butchart Gardens (just north of Victoria). I can't wait to go for a third time to this garden.
Victoria is the capital of British Columbia, and is frequently described as the most British city in Canada.Like
Seattle and Vancouver, Victoria is filled with vibrant color and mild weather. Rainy in the winter, but sunny
in the summer. Very lush.
We didn't go to Victoria in the summer of 2005. We'll have to fix that in the upcoming summer of 2006.
