1 - My mother planting at her father's grave. On December 28th, 1982 he passed away at his house in Myrvoll at age 89.
2 - Happier times! Sonja about 1.5 years old. Picture is taken in Boston during a long-weekend away from NYC.
3 - Eating breakfast at the hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We took several trips to Puerto Rico over the years since my father had business connections in San Juan. This time it was 1987.
4 - During a training trip to Portland, Maine for Unum, Becky & I rented a car to drive around. When I lived in upstate NY, we would occasional vacation in Maine, so I wanted to do the same with Becky. Picture is on top of Mt. Washington ("be the first to see the sunrise in the US!") looking towards Bar Harbor.
5 - In Feb. '97 Becky came back from Japan, and we started dating. I thought a good start would be to take her for a trip around the Pacific Northwest, which included a stop in Vancouver (also one of my very, very favorite cities). Capilano Hanging Bridge is in the background. We have been at this spot many times since.
6 - Skip across the Pacific Ocean to Taipei for Jake and Carol's wedding in 1988. In the picture from left to right - Carol's father, Jake, Carol, me, my father, my mother, Inge, Joe and Carol's mother
7 - Jake and Carol's house in Marysville (later sold when they moved closer to Seattle). I'm sitting on the hood of Spencer's Toyota pick up truck that I was about to drive to Anchorage. Jake would drive the Acura Legend along with Spencer. That was a fun trip even though I drove the non-a/c'ed truck!

1 - Becky with her mom. We were checking-out the church were we'd get married at later that summer (8/15/98 to exact). Chruch is in upstate NY on Owasco Lake, south of Auburn, NY.
2 - Roz and a young Chris. Picture was taken during a Thanksgiving visit from Detroit in 1997 to the Seattle area.
3 - Jump back in time to Christmas 1971 in Auburn, NY. I believe this picture was taken in the officially worst department store on the face of the planet - Nickles. The store is long since gone. Thankfully.
4 - Christmas at my grandparents house in Myrvoll in 1974
5 - When I moved from NY to Seattle in 1992, my friend Mark Steigerwald and I drove zig-zag across the country. Here I am at one of the mountain passes in Colorado, not far off of I-70
6 - On a break from Detroit (again!!) we met up with my parents in Hawaii. Becky and I would go for a helluva fun hike along the Nepali coast on the island of Kuai'i. We had to use this rope to forge the river. The current was strong, so the rope was a must!
7 - Bad quality picture, but I remember this was a really nice summer evening in Auburn, NY. Picture is at my friend Yung Oh's house. The next picture is a fast foward of Dave and me 14 years.

1 - And here Dave and I are 14 years after the last picture. Picture is near Ithaca, NY at Dave's sister wedding in 2001.
2 - Back to Mark and me driving cross country in 1992. Here I am next to my 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo near the Grand Tentons in Wyoming.
3 - We had this picture taken before moving to the US in 1969. Thanks to Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10 I was able to restore a lot of the color of the original picture
4 - Our first apartment in Michigan was in Farmington Hills where this picture was taken. We had recently bought this '96 VW Jetta Trek. I guess I owe the Jetta a 'Thank You' for getting me started with mountain biking. Since Becky got a bike with the car, I bought a bike as well. If there was something I really enjoyed about Michigan was the cool mountain biking I was able to do not far from where we lived. I actually miss Michigan for that reason.
5 - Back in time again. This time it is 1971. Jake, Sissel and I playing along with our father in Fillmore Glen, NY. My mother took the picture.
6 - Group picture outside of Unum's headquarters in Portland, Maine (prior to the merge with Provident in 2000). This was my first trip back to the Home Office of Unum. I think this was actually in 1995, not 1996 as the picture indicates.
7 - Spencer, Carol, Jake and in Alaska. Glacier south of Anchorage.

Row 4

1 - In Bar Harbor, Maine one yet another trip for Unum.
2 - On a Thanksgiving trip back to my parents in Snohomish, WA. This was in 1997 3 - The Three Idiots. Me, Gerald and Mark. Gerald brought over a bottle of Tattoo which had obvious consquences. Picture is at Mark's parents house outside of Auburn, NY. Picture was take in the late 1990's.
4 - Gerald crushing Becky and MaryAnn at Gwyn's wedding. MaryAnn's expression is priceless.
5 - I believe this is taken in 1975 in Gjovik.
6 - During our honeymoon I wanted to drive by the apartment in Gjovik we lived in during the mid-70's. It looked pretty much the same except the color is yellow instead of brown as you can see a little of here
7 - During the 80's we'd frequently head home to Norway for visits. On this trip we stopped to see the grave of my father's parent. His mother died in 1969, so I don't have any memories of her , second from the right in this picture her, but I do remember his father who died in 1976.
